Product Overview
The TALON II Model 90C is the most operationally capable compact rigid litter in the US Army inventory, serving as the core evacuation platform for both the WALK® (Warrior Aid and Litter Kit) system and vehicle life-saving kits across DoD ground platforms. Developed to meet U.S. Army requirements for urgent battlefield casualty evacuation, the 90C addresses the primary limitation of conventional rigid litters: they cannot fit inside the compressed compartments of armored vehicles like the M1114 up-armored Humvee when fully deployed.
The retractable ergonomic handle system is the 90C's defining innovation. When handles are collapsed, the litter's 78-inch length allows floor loading inside standard military vehicles and helicopter compartments. When handles are extended, the litter reaches 90 inches — the NATO-standard length for compatibility with helicopter litter mounting systems, hospital transfer equipment, and multi-platform MEDEVAC interoperability. Automatic locking hinges maintain the litter in its deployed configuration without manual locking steps, enabling faster deployment under field conditions.
The slip-resistant ripstop fabric has been tested and approved using live chemical warfare agents — the same standard as the NAR Stingray — confirming compatibility with CBRN environments. Six IV attachment points support bilateral IV or IO fluid administration during en-route TACEVAC care, and two patient securing straps maintain casualty position through all transport phases. The 1,200 lb payload rating and 1.5-inch ground clearance provide structural confidence and debris clearance across all terrain types.
