Military working dogs (MWDs) and law enforcement K-9 units operate in high-threat environments — explosive detection, patrol, tracking, and apprehension — where they are exposed to the same ballistic, blast, and trauma risks as their human handlers. When a K-9 is injured in the field, rapid evacuation is critical, yet standard human litters are poorly suited to canine anatomy. The NAR K-9 Litter fills this gap with a species-specific design built for the realities of operational canine casualty care.

The litter's defining feature is its leg cutouts, which allow the injured dog to be placed into a natural positional orientation with legs hanging through the cutouts rather than awkwardly folded or constrained. This improves patient security, reduces stress on injured limbs, and provides a more stable carry platform for handlers. The combination of six large and four small carry handles enables balanced 1, 2, 3, or 4-person carries depending on team availability and terrain.

At 15.3 oz and packaged to 5.5 × 10 × 1.75 in., the K-9 Litter stores in a standard cargo pocket, K-9 handler pouch, or vehicle kit without adding meaningful weight.
