Product Overview

The Lightning-X MEDIC-X Quick Access Medic Pouch is built around the premise that gunshot wound treatment requires bulkier items — and a pouch that can actually hold them. The 8" × 5.5" × 4" profile accommodates chest seals, pressure bandages, hemostatic gauze, NPAs, and decompression needles without forcing you to compress or repack between uses. The dual-zipper drop-front panel lays completely flat when open, giving you immediate visual access to everything stored inside.

The interior is purpose-organized: the drop panel features 4 vertical and 4 horizontal elastic loops to secure smaller items in place, while the main compartment contains 2 wider elastic loops for larger supplies and an adjustable elastic drawstring panel that conforms to your specific loadout. Four internal pockets keep loose items controlled. A hook-and-loop nameplate on the exterior allows for a medical cross patch, unit identifier, or blood type marker — important for rapid ID in multi-casualty situations.

Mounting is genuinely flexible: MOLLE/PALS nylon webbing runs on all four sides of the exterior, and two rear retention straps provide a secure direct-to-belt or bag attachment. This means the MEDIC-X works whether you're mounting it to a plate carrier, chest rig, assault pack, or patrol belt. Lightning X backs this pouch with a limited lifetime warranty — a useful assurance for gear that lives in hard environments.

What Fits Inside

The MEDIC-X is sized to carry a full hemorrhage-control and airway loadout. Typical contents for a TCCC-oriented build include:

  • Combat tourniquet (CAT Gen 7 or SAM XT) — fits in main compartment or wide elastic loops
  • Hemostatic gauze (QuikClot Combat Gauze or similar, 3" × 24" roll)
  • 4" or 6" pressure bandage (Israeli, OLAES, or ETD)
  • Chest seal twin pack (HyFin Vent or similar)
  • NPA (28 Fr) with lubricant
  • Needle decompression kit (14g × 3.25")
  • 2 pairs nitrile gloves
  • Rolled gauze and self-adherent wrap
  • Trauma shears (7.5")
