The OLAES® (One-Handed Low-Profile Bandage) is a CoTCCC-recommended modular pressure dressing that addresses a common IFAK content gap: the need for both a wound packing dressing and an occlusive chest seal in the same kit without doubling the item count. The OLAES® stores a plastic occlusive sheet within the dressing pocket — allowing the medic to use a single item for hemorrhage control and, if needed, to repurpose the occlusive sheet as a chest seal for a penetrating thoracic wound. This multifunction approach maximizes capability within the kit's compact footprint.
