Product Overview

The TacMed™ Adaptive First Aid Kit (AFAK) Pouch solves a real tactical problem: not every operator has the same vest configuration, and not every mission allows for the same kit placement. The AFAK is explicitly designed around mounting flexibility — the same pouch can be oriented vertically or horizontally on a MOLLE surface, mounted on a MOLLE belt when no vest is worn, or deployed in a small-of-back configuration using the removable insert and optional lanyard. This allows the individual soldier or officer to take advantage of whatever unused space is available on their equipment.

The adaptive tourniquet strap system included with the pouch is a distinct feature: it is designed to place a tourniquet in either vertical or horizontal orientation based on the user's preference and access requirements. Left-hand and right-hand users can position the tourniquet for ambidextrous access regardless of how the pouch itself is mounted. This two-handed accessibility is a practical improvement over fixed-orientation tourniquet carry.

The external MOLLE platform on the pouch exterior allows additional accessories to be stacked on the outside of the AFAK — a tourniquet pouch, a glove holder, or a utility pouch — maximizing the use of the footprint the AFAK already occupies. The removable insert allows the kit contents to be pre-staged and swapped between pouches, or carried standalone with the optional lanyard in non-vest configurations.
