Product Overview

The TacMed™ Convertible Drop Leg Medic Kit is designed for operators and medics who need maximum flexibility in kit positioning across different mission profiles. The convertible platform mounts on the thigh in drop-leg configuration for quick access during patrol, then attaches to a MOLLE vest for vehicle operations or assault phases — without needing to repack the kit. TacMed Solutions built the platform around their well-regarded OLAES® modular bandages, which combine the function of a pressure bandage, tourniquet, and occlusive dressing in a single device.

The SOF® Tourniquet (CoTCCC-recommended) provides primary extremity tourniquet capability. The dual-bandage approach (4-inch and 6-inch OLAES®) plus a Blast® bandage gives the medic/operator multiple dressing options for different wound sizes and types. NPA airway with lubricant addresses the Airway phase of MARCH, while the petrolatum gauze provides basic chest wound coverage.

Advanced configuration note: The Advanced version adds a TPAK (14-gauge × 3.25-inch angiocath with hard plastic case) for needle chest decompression. Per U.S. federal law, this device is restricted to sale by or on the order of a licensed practitioner, and authorization from a medical professional is required prior to fulfillment of this item.
